Position Overview:

AVL is looking for a Content Marketing Manager to lead our content strategy and create high-impact marketing materials that drive engagement and growth. This role is responsible for developing, producing, and managing content across multiple platforms, ensuring consistency and effectiveness.

As a key player in AVL’s growth strategy, the Content Marketing Manager will collaborate closely with practice leaders to refine and communicate our services and our unique value clearly and persuasively. Additionally, they will support sales leaders by delivering dynamic content, tools, and collateral that enhance prospect and partner engagement and position AVL as a thought leader in the industry.

Responsibilities:

Grassroots Marketing

  • Build brand engagement through organic social media, email marketing, website content, and events.
  • Develop and execute a content calendar to ensure fresh, timely and impactful messaging.
  • Ensure AVL’s content ecosystem is well optimized for long-term value and audience engagement.
  • Collaborate across teams to align marketing strategies, company goals, and regional/vertical objectives.
 

Thought Leadership

  • Collaborate with SME leaders (CFO’s & CHRO’s) to co-create strategic, insightful content that positions AVL as a trusted industry leader.
  • Develop high-quality articles, case studies, POVs that enhance brand credibility and showcase expertise in Fractional Finance & HR.
  • Build scalable, data-driven content marketing strategies that fuel business growth and expand AVL’s industry influence.

Sales Enablement

  • Partner with AVL’s sales team and practice leaders to develop content strategies that drive engagement and support business growth.
  • Develop and manage multi-channel campaigns, including email marketing, organic social media, newsletters, video, webinars, eBooks and blogs.
  • Utilize HubSpot and marketing analytics to track, optimize and continuously improve campaign performance. 

Partnership Engagement

  • Strengthen AVL’s technology, strategic and referral partnerships through content, events, and co-marketing initiatives. 
  • Leverage co-marketing opportunities and partner-led initiatives (webinars, podcasts and industry discussions) to expand AVL’s reach.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Attributes:

The ideal candidate for this role is: 

  • You are an experienced marketer who has effectively supported sales.
  • You have a proven track record with creating & managing content marketing, and digital campaigns that drive demand and generate leads across various platforms (email, social media etc).
  • You are an exceptional writer and storyteller with a portfolio demonstrating the ability to create clear, engaging and persuasive content.
  • A guru in B2B and/or Professional Services
  • You thrive on working across multiple stakeholders while establishing trusted relationships.
  • You are curious and enjoy creating engaging content with ease, and bring a collaborative spirit that you seamlessly incorporate into your creative process.
  • You have exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to drive a full and complex content calendar. 
  • You are self-directed with a strong work ethic. You are agile and can pivot quickly. You can effectively prioritize and have impeccable follow-through.
  • You have managed relationships with external vendors and freelancers.
  • You stay updated on market trends, competitive positioning and emerging digital tools to drive innovative marketing approaches.
  • Experienced in HubSpot, including campaign tracking, lead sourcing, email automation & data analytics. 

Skills

 Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in content marketing roles, digital marketing (professional services preferred) 

Compensation

  • Base salary range $90,000 - $110,000 plus bonus
  • Benefits: PTO, medical, dental, vision, HSA match (depending on plan), 401k, cell phone stipend
