Position Overview:

As an AVL Accountant, your focus is on the construction and management of accounting systems to bring efficiency and visibility to operations. These efforts are the vital foundation to allow for you and your fellow peers (Controllers and CFO team members) to lead the growth and expansion for our clients.

Necessary Experience:

  • Must have at least 3 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Demonstrated experience with full cycle accounting
  • Detail oriented and strong organizational skills for handling multiple client engagements simultaneously
  • Accounting degree required
  • Quickbooks and Bill.com experience required

Very beneficial to also have experience in the following areas:

  • A strong background in investor/venture-backed companies 
  • Versatility in your background and industry experience is a huge plus - Mainly SaaS, Consumer Packaged Goods/Food & Beverage, Technology and Service Based industries
  • ERP experience, Microsoft Office Suite—specifically Excel
  • CPA designation

Responsibilities you can expect to perform:

  • Customer Invoicing, Revenue Accounting, and Revenue Recognition
  • Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Expense Reporting, Payroll
  • Inventory and COGS 
  • General Ledger Accounting (fixed assets, accruals, equity)
  • Account Reconciliations (cash, inventory, fixed assets, and other balance sheet accounts)
  • Developing, documenting, and improving accounting policies and procedures
  • Monthly Financial Package Preparation
  • Financial Planning and Analysis
  • Financials Variance Analysis

Compensation

Compensation for this position is based on experience and technical proficiency. 

AVL offers optionality with the number of hours worked weekly (Looking for desired hours between 20-40 hours/week)

The hourly base pay rate is between $35.00-$48.00 per hour - $72,000 - $100,000 (based on 40hr/wk) with the eligibility for an annual bonus incentive in addition to base pay.
